Terms & Conditions
Last updated 10 August 2026
Draft, pending legal review. Every square bracket below needs a real answer, and a qualified adviser should check these terms before they are relied on. Delete this block once that has happened.
- Your order is an offer. The contract forms when we send a shipping confirmation, not at checkout.
- We can decline an order — a mispriced listing, a failed fraud check — and you get everything back.
- Pieces are made to order, so allow 5–7 business days before dispatch.
- Every centre stone is IGI certified, with its number inscribed on the girdle.
- Nothing here removes your statutory rights as a consumer.
Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by [registered company name, company number and registered address], trading as Novara Diamonds. Below, “we” means that company and “you” means the person placing the order. Placing an order means you accept these terms.
Orders and acceptance
Paying at checkout is an offer to buy, not a concluded sale, and our order confirmation only acknowledges that we received it. The contract forms when we send a shipping confirmation, and it covers the pieces named in that message.
Before then we may decline an order: a piece cannot be made as specified, a price was published in error, or a payment or fraud check does not pass. If we decline we refund in full.
Prices and tax
Prices are shown in [currency] and can change before you order, but never after we have confirmed it. [State whether displayed prices include sales tax or VAT, at what rate, and how tax is applied at checkout in each place you sell into.] Import duty is covered in the Shipping Policy.
Obvious pricing errors are not binding on us. If a piece is listed at a clearly wrong price we will contact you, and you can confirm at the corrected price or cancel.
Made to order
We do not hold finished stock. Each piece is set by hand after you order it, which takes 5–7 business days before dispatch; engraving or a non-stock ring size adds two to three days more. Delivery dates are estimates, and we will tell you promptly if anything runs late.
Stones, certification and photography
Centre stones are lab-grown and come with an independent IGI certificate covering cut, colour and clarity. The certificate number is laser-inscribed on the girdle, so the paperwork can always be matched to the piece in your hand.
Photography is representative. Every piece is set by hand, stones and finishes vary slightly, and screens render colour differently. Your piece will match its specification and its certificate, not the image pixel for pixel.
Care, resizing and warranty
The care card in the box explains how to look after your piece. Rings can be resized free in the first year where the design allows it. Every piece carries a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, which does not cover ordinary wear, loss, theft, accidental damage, or work done by another jeweller.
Returns and cancellation
Returns, cancellation before dispatch, refund timing and the exclusions that apply are in the Refund Policy, and delivery in the Shipping Policy. Both form part of these terms, and neither removes your rights as a consumer.
Using this site
Browse, share links and buy. Please do not disrupt the site, reach parts of it that are not public, scrape it at scale, or copy its content for a competing shop.
The text, photography, design and the Novara Diamonds name belong to us or our licensors, and may not be reused commercially without written permission. A photograph or review you send us stays yours, but you allow us to show it alongside the piece.
Liability
We do not exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it, and we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made. [Have an adviser confirm this cap is enforceable in your jurisdiction and against consumers.]
Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of [jurisdiction], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction. [Confirm both, and check whether consumers where you sell keep the right to bring a claim in their own country.]
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The version that applies is the one published on the day you order, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Delivery is in the Shipping Policy, returns and the warranty in the Refund Policy, and your data in the Privacy Policy. How we work is on the About page.
